Treasures of the Hispanic Society: three thousand years of Hispanic art leave New York

For the first time, the jewels of the Hispanic Society of America crossed the Atlantic to be shown in Mexico. More than two hundred works span three thousand years of Hispanic culture: manuscripts, ceramics and paintings by El Greco, Zurbarán, Murillo, Velázquez, Goya and Sorolla. The collection was built by philanthropist Archer Milton Huntington in the early twentieth century, with an almost obsessive passion for the Iberian.
