Kandinsky at Bellas Artes: the Small Worlds of the father of abstraction

Kandinsky. Pequeños mundos.

October 25, 2018 – January 26, 2019

Vasily Kandinsky started late—at 28, after studying law and science—and still became one of the inventors of abstract art. Small Worlds takes its name from a portfolio he made as a teacher at the Bauhaus, that legendary school that reshaped twentieth-century art. The show lets you see how color and form break free from reality until they become pure visual music. For many visitors it was their first real encounter with abstraction. With ArtGuide you grasp the theory behind each composition without it turning into a lecture.
