Visions of the Hispanic World: the Hispanic Society’s heritage in Albuquerque

The Albuquerque Museum hosted Visions of the Hispanic World, a journey through the cultures that settled in Spain and brought the best of their heritage to the Iberian Peninsula and the colonies. Among the pieces stands out the so-called silk of the Alhambra, whose design recalls the tiles of Granada’s Nasrid palace and which survives intact as few do. The show weaves a rich, mixed history that crosses the Mediterranean and the Atlantic. A fine occasion to see the Hispanic as a centuries-long conversation.
