Indigenous Disruptions invites us to see the art of Mexico’s native peoples not as folklore or past, but as a living production with an aesthetic independence of its own. The show at the Museo del Palacio de Bellas Artes offers a retrospective of twentieth-century approaches to these creations and, above all, reflects on their place in a diverse country still negotiating its identity.
